Position: ICT Officer – (1 Post)

Position reports to: Finance, Human Resource & Administration Manager

Job Code & Job Grade: EC02/D1

Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Overall Responsibility

The Job holder shall be responsible for business continuity by ensuring maintenance of IT Solution and provision of support to IT end-users

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accountable for Business Continuity programs
  • Responsible for IT Solution Maintenance plans
  • Responsible for implementation of IT Solution plans
  • Accountable to IT Support end users
  • Accountable for IT Compliance, Security programs and remediation programs
  • Manages communication system among utilities
  • Installs and updates computer operating system and security software
  • Accountable for first line support for all Day-Ahead Market(DAM) system users in EAPP region
  • Administers servers and databases for Day-Ahead Market(DAM) and e-mail
  • Recommends definition of enterprise IT Architecture and policies for IT Operations
  • Recommends scope of IT Maintenance Plan
  • Performs any other duties related to this Job

  • Overall achievement of IT Operations
  • Overall achievement of IT Support Objectives
  • Cycle time for implementation of IT Solutions

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • Professional Certification in relevant field
  • Master’s degree in related field shall be an added advantage

Years of Experience

  • 12+ years Professional Working experience in Information and Communication Technology of which 8 years should be in Power Utility

Skills & Abilities

  • In depth knowledge of IT Technology Landscape
  • In depth knowledge of IT System applicable in Members countries
  • In depth knowledge of SCADA System
  • Analytical Skills
  • Organizing Skills
  • Planning Skills
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Good Command of English Language

  • Successful candidates for the above positions will be offered competitive remuneration package.
  • Appointments for all the positions shall be on Four (4) years contract terms renewable subject to satisfactory performance & continuity of the Post.
