- The Eastern Africa Power Pool (EAPP) is a regional institution established in 2005 to coordinate cross-border power trade and grid interconnection among nations of the Eastern Africa region. The EAPP currently has thirteen (13) member countries who signed the Inter-Governmental Memorandum of Understanding (IGMOU), and sixteen utilities who signed the Inter Utility Memorandum of Understanding (IUMOU).EAPP, through the African Development Bank (AfDB), has received a grant from the African Development Fund – (ADF – 16 Regional Public Goods (RPG)) towards the cost of the EAPP Institutional Capacity Building Project and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DEVELOPING A REGIONAL GREEN FINANCE STRATEGY (RGFS).The expected duration of the assignment is six (6) months. The estimated level of effort is Four (4) person months. A Consulting firm will be selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost Based Selections (QCBS) method. The services and requirements for this Consultancy are stipulated in the Terms of Reference (ToR) that can be obtained from the address below.
- The Eastern Africa Power Pool (EAPP) General Secretariat now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub-consultancy. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected.
- Eligibility criteria, the establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s ”Procurement Policy for Bank Group funded operations”, dated October 2015 which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
